Japanese Media's False Reporting Hurts Jang Geun Suk's Image Abroad

Earlier today, we reported that Jang Geun Suk was belatedly under fire in Japan for his comment about wanting to “eat” Japanese AV star Aoi Sora. Various Japanese media reported the hallyu star verbally, sexually abused Japan’s Aoi Sora. They reported that when asked, “What do you want to eat most while in Japan,” Jang Geun Suk replied, “I want to eat Aoi Sora.”

However, netizens tracked down the actual clip of the interview, and to everyone’s surprise, no such mistake on Jang Geun Suk’s part happened. When asked what he wanted to eat, he answered, “Sushi.” Aoi Sora was never mentioned in the clip.

During a phone interview with enews24, Jang Geun Suk stated, “I never said that. I was currently filming a Chinese CF, but as of now, that shoot has been put on hold. This has been a huge blow to my image.” 

A representative of his management agency revealed, “When he arrived in Japan, he never even mentioned Aoi Sora. We are thinking of taking legal action against this matter.”
