CNN Airs Clip on "K-POP Star" Contestant

Earlier today, we reported that Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher and American R&B singer Eric Benet expressed their amazement over 15-year-old Park Ji Min on SBS’s “K-POP Star.” On December 30, CNN introduced the young Korean talent to the American audience, airing a short segment of Park Ji Min singing Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.”

CNN anchor Erin Burnett introduced, “The latest viral video here coming to us from South Korea, and it’s of this 15-year-old contestant named Park Ji Min…Like “American Idol,” K-POP Star” is this television show that features three judges critiquing amateur singers. And like past singing phenoms like Susan Boyle, she blew them away.” Susan Boyle is a Scottish singer who gained attention worldwide after her appearance on “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2009.

Park Ji Min’s jaw-dropping performance earned her the number one spot in her group last week.
