G-Dragon Rises With "Untitled, 2014"; Soompi’s K-Pop Music Chart 2017, June Week 4
G-Dragon’s “Untitled, 2014” moves up nine spots to take over as our new No. 1 song this week! Due to the fact that G-Dragon’s album is in USB format and he did not come out to promote this song, “Untitled, 2014” wasn’t listed on some of our chart sources. However, it managed to win on “Inkigayo” and “Music Core” last week. Overall, it was enough to capture our top spot. Congratulations to G-Dragon!
Switching spots at No. 2 and 3 from last week are TWICE’s “SIGNAL” and SEVENTEEN’s “Don’t Wanna Cry.”
There are two new songs in the top 10 this week. Up 10 spots to No. 5 is the first solo top 10 hit for Chungha, who is a former member of I.O.I. Her song “Why Don’t You Know” is the title track of her first mini-album “Hands One Me.” It is a dance song made for the summer season with a tropical house beat and a catchy melody. Rapper Nucksal is also featured on this song.
Also scoring their first top 10 hit is Cosmic Girls with their song “HAPPY,” which moved up 17 spots to No. 10. Their last song “I Wish” peaked at No. 11, but this time they did one spot better and moved into the top 10. This is the title song from their first studio album “Happy Moment.” It is a refreshing dance song about the happiness and excitement that comes with love.
