Cube Entertainment And Soompi “Rising Legends: Season Two” - Accepting Entries Now!

In case you haven’t heard, “Rising Legends: Season Two,” a four-round, fan-voted audition event for international K-pop star hopefuls, presented by Soompi and our partner Cube Entertainment, is officially back for the second year!

Last year, close to a million fan votes determined the finalists for our inaugural “Rising Legends,” held in partnership with JYP Entertainment. This year, we’re upping the ante – one final winner from “Rising Legends: Season Two” will be flown out to Korea, where they can audition for Cube Entertainment in person (and receive the full K-pop experience)!

Here are some frequently asked questions about this year’s competition:

Q: How do I enter?

First, record yourself singing, dancing, or rapping to a cover or original song under 1 minute, and upload it to Youtube with the song name, artist name, and “Cube x Soompi Rising Legends” in the title.

Then, login with your Soompi account, fill out this form, and you’re done! You MUST fill out a form to be considered a part of the competition.

Q: I’m not Asian! Can I still audition?

Yes, absolutely! Rising Legends is an event that invited anyone and everyone to audition for a chance at K-pop stardom. We want to be as inclusive as possible, so you can audition regardless of your gender, age, race or ethnicity. 

However, due to legal restrictions on the trip to Korea, the winners can only be from the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec). You can still submit an audition video through the site for it to be reviewed by Cube Entertainment, who will be going through all of the entries, or to showcase your talents to our global audience.

Keep in mind – you can also help by voting for your favorite entries and making someone else’s dream come true.

Q: What do I win?

One finalist from each category (for a total of 3) will win at least a video conference interview with Cube Entertainment, who will review all of your materials as well as determine whether you’d be a good fit at the company.

One grand prize winner – determined by a combination of total votes and judges’ scores – will receive a 5-day trip to Korea to interview with Cube Entertainment talent scouts (along with other perks, like being filmed for a Viki reality series and tagging along to our interviews with idols!)

Q: How long should my audition video be? 

For the first submission round, please stay within 1 minute limit.

Q: Are there any rules for my submission?

Other than the 1 minute rule above, you can do anything! Covers and originals of any kind are accepted.

Q: How do I vote for my favorite entries?

Once round 1 opens on September 1, you will be able to vote for the 150 entries (50 in each category) that have been chosen to take part in Rising Legends.
