SEVENTEEN Shines Like Diamonds At First Toronto Concert
On August 25, Toronto “slipped into the diamond life” when SEVENTEEN performed their first concert in the city and delivered a show jam-packed with amazing moments!
Toronto was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the hit group’s North American stops on their first world tour “DIAMOND EDGE,” and Carats came from far and wide to experience the group’s first show here.
It was clear before the night even started just how much fans love the group, as the walls of Toronto’s famed Massey Hall seemed to shake as everyone from the orchestra to the second balcony screamed and sang along with SEVENTEEN’s music videos on the big screen.

SEVENTEEN made their much-anticipated entrance in a rainbow of brightly-colored suits, opening the show with some of their title tracks including “Pretty U,” “Adore U,” “Very Nice,” and more. They went on to perform plenty more of their hit songs that evening, including a jaw-dropping rendition of their most recent track “Don’t Wanna Cry.”
SEVENTEEN also showcased all of their talents throughout the concert with seriously impressive unit performances. Although they pretended to argue over which unit’s set was a better fit for the venue, each team made everyone lose our minds so it was pretty much a tie in the end.
Check out some of my favorite moments from the night below, and share your own if you were there too!
Leader And Maknae Showing Off Their Moves
In between sets, SEVENTEEN’s eldest member S.Coups and youngest member Dino came out with a camera to capture “their beautiful Carats” for their reality series “Going Seventeen.” They also entertained fans with their own freestyle dances, with Dino grinning from ear to ear as he possibly loved S.Coups’s moves just as much as fans.

Vocal Unit’s Goosebump-Inducing Performances
Although the vocal unit’s first set of performances on a gorgeous gothic set was a feast for the eyes and ears, my favorite of their songs is “Habit” off their new mini album “Al1” and so I can’t not gush a little bit about how amazing the five of them sounded singing this live. The combination of Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, and Seungkwan’s voices in the venue’s awesome acoustics literally gave me goosebumps.

Bad Boy Hip-Hop Unit Spitting Fire And Checking Into Toronto
After a VCR in which the hip-hop unit was the best looking group of detained delinquents you’ve ever seen, S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon took to the stage with off-the-charts swag to perform “Un Haeng Il Chi” and “Check In.”

Their later hip-thrust heavy performance of “If I” had everyone going wild. These moves are probably actually illegal and what led to them being in jail in that VCR.
Hip hop unit hips are no joke 😭💕💎 #DiamondEdgeinToronto #Seventeen pic.twitter.com/8e7u77Y9Wo

Bonus moment: Hoshi having a great time afterwards mimicking their hip thrusting.

Performance Unit Killing It + Hoshi Bringing His Cowboy Self To Toronto
The performance unit’s powerful set had everyone pumped, and Jun, Hoshi, The8, and Dino brought the house down with their slick dance moves. Another one of the best parts of the night was Hoshi, Prince of Extra, suddenly screaming “Yeehaw!” in the middle of their “Swimming Fool” performance. After a short bout of illness that kept him from the Chicago show, it was great to see him totally hyped!

China Line’s Mesmerizing Ribbon Dance
A truly memorable moment for me was Jun and The8’s stunning performance of “My I,” which featured the pair dancing while connected by a long white ribbon. The give and take between the pair was breathtaking! To make things even more amazing, the duo released an image teaser for “My I” today and I cannot wait to see what they’ve got planned.

The Love Between SEVENTEEN And Carats
Although having SEVENTEEN visit Toronto was a present enough in itself, the guys never stopped gifting fans with sweet interactions throughout the night. After they wrapped up the show with a fun performance of “Healing,” they each shared touching comments about their love and appreciation for their fans in Toronto who support them from so far away.
They promised to come back to Toronto soon, and as everyone got emotional, fans began to chant “SEVENTEEN!” In reply, Seungkwan led the guys in chanting right back, “Carats!” Ah, my heart.
We cheered for #SEVENTEEN and the boys cheered for us!!! It was loud and beautiful!#DiamondEdgeinToronto#SEVENTEENinTORONTO pic.twitter.com/lxm2NY13vn
