Individually Flawless: BLACKPINK's Off-Stage Style Decoded
When BLACKPINK first exploded into the K-pop scene, everyone knew they would be big. They had all the makings of YG’s next biggest act — talent, looks, confidence, and style. When it comes to their fashion in music videos and onstage performance, their stylists are always on point in effortlessly mixing high fashion designer brands with streetwear. But aside from their incredible fresh-off-the-runway outfits, how do the girls style themselves when they’re off duty? From fan-taken photos, airport snaps, to their official Instagram page, we try to decipher the girls’ individual styles:
Street and fashion forward
Among all the girls, Jennie’s style is the most street. She likes an urban uniform of oversized suits, white crop tops, statement T-shirts, boyfriend jeans, and killer boots or sneaks. She’s a style icon in the making as she is able to rock a feminine look with edgy styles that are very “now.” What’s also amazing is that despite her fierce outfits, Jennie’s face is as sweet as an angel’s. As she has shown in her variety show appearances, behind Jennie’s cool image is a bubbly and cute persona that makes her both aspirational and relatable to many fans.
Jennie can never go wrong in black. One of her fave go-to colors when she’s traveling or going to broadcast stations for shoots.

Cute and bubbly
Jisoo is known for her 4-D personality as she’s the mood maker of the group. Her off-duty style suits her personality as she tends to prefer bright colors and cute outfits.

Chic and comfy
Rosé has the ultra-minimalist style and prefers to keep it classy, clean, and comfy with oversized shirts paired with shorts, black tops, and basics. Her style is simple and elegant, just like her personality. Except when on stage or in music videos, she is rarely seen wearing loud prints. She also doesn’t need that many accessories; all she needs is her pretty smile to complete her outfit.
Ladylike with an edge
Dancing machine Lisa’s style is a combination of all the girls, as she is always seen mixing hard and soft fashion pieces that only Lisa could pull off. On stage, she has a strong and energetic vibe, but once the cameras are off, she also has a cute side. Being the maknae of the group, Lisa has that youthful glow which allows her to pull off a variety of more experimental styles.
