2017 MAMA To Be Held In 3 Countries For 4 Days
Details have been released for the 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards (hereafter 2017 MAMA).
According to CJ E&M, November 25 to December 1 will be “MAMA Week,” as the music award ceremony will take place in three countries for four days. 2017 MAMA will start at Hoa Binh Theater in Vietnam on November 25, Yokohama Arena in Japan on November 29, W Hotel in Hong Kong on November 30, then AsiaWorld-Expo Arena in Hong Kong on December 1.
Shin Hyung Kwan, President of Mnet Contents Business, said, “With the knowledge and experience from the past nine years, we will expand MAMA to be Asia’s biggest award ceremony,” and added, “We will make 2017 MAMA the greatest festival for everyone who loves music in Asia.”
This year will mark the ninth MAMA by CJ E&M. In 1999, it first started as the Mnet Video Music Awards, then became MAMA in 2009. In 2010, the awards ceremony became global and was hosted out of the country for the first time in Macau, then Singapore in 2011, and Hong Kong from 2012 to 2016.
