IU Wins Best Album Of The Year At The 2017 Melon Music Awards, Total Of Three Awards

IU wins the Best Album Of The Year at the 2017 Melon Music Awards, which honors K-pop artists and their achievements this year based on their performance on Melon, one of Korea’s largest online music store.

The 2017 Melon Music Awards took place on December 2 KST at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea with many celebrities in attendance and music performances to round out an exciting year in K-pop.

IU took home three awards this year: Best Album of the year (a Daesang award) for her “Palette” album, Top 10 Award, and Best Song Writer. In her acceptance speeches she expressed her desire to win an award for her album this year as she worked very hard on it and was happy that so many people listened to it. She also expressed admiration for other artists for creating songs, as well as thanked her “muse,” actress and best friend Yoo In Na. For her performance, she also sang with aspiring singers for a meaningful and moving stage.
