Wanna One Guards Top Spot With 'Beautiful'; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2017, December Week 2

Wanna One’s “Beautiful” guards the top spot from Red Velvet’s “Peek-A-Boo” and repeats as our No. 1 song this week. Both songs had high enough scores to win the top spots, but “Beautiful” won on the strength of its music show wins on “Music Bank” and “Music Core.” Congratulations again to Wanna One!

“Peek-A-Boo” moves up one spot to No. 2. Despite not yet winning on music shows, this song scores well on all chart sources to come in at a close second this week. Meanwhile, TWICE’s former No. 1 song “LIKEY” is down one spot to No. 3 this week.

We only have one new song in the top 10 this week. Moving up three spots to No. 8 is the new song from Soyou, the queen of collaborations. This time she has a duet with ballad prince Sung Si Kyung on “I Still.” It is a ballad that unravels the story of a man and a woman who cannot easily face separation. The whispering tones and the delicate, soft, and explosive vocals of the singers really make for a warm performance. It is the perfect ballad for the fall and winter season.
