TWICE Takes No. 1 Spot With "What Is Love?"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2018, April Week 4
Just like last week, our new No. 1 song is coming from outside of the top 10. Moving up 11 spots to take over No. 1 is TWICE’s “What Is Love?” It is no surprise at all that this song has come out on top. “What Is Love?” won all the music shows last week, and is only eight points off a perfect score. The only part that TWICE did not win was our Soompi Airplay, in which they ranked second to BTS. Congratulations to TWICE!
“What Is Love?” is the title song from TWICE’s fifth mini-album of the same name. Written by Park Jin Young, “What Is Love?” is a catchy dance song with a cheerful melody. The lyrics describe how girls learned about love through watching movies and dramas and reading books.
For the third straight week (and four of the last five weeks), BIGBANG’s “Flower Road” is our No. 2 song. Last week’s champion, WINNER’s “EVERYDAY,” drops two spots to No. 3.
We have one more new song in the top 10 this week. Landing just below the top three at No. 4 is EXO’s sub-unit CBX. Their song “Blooming Day” moves up 12 spots this week. This is the title song from EXO-CBX’s second mini-album of the same name. The album concept centers on the seven days of the week. “Blooming Day” is Tuesday. This sweet dance song is about a man’s confession to a woman who has bloomed inside his heart.
