TWICE Reigns With "What Is Love?"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2018, May Week 2
TWICE’s “What is Love?” continues to soar above the rest of the competition and repeats as our No. 1 song for the third straight week! “What is Love?” picked up another two music show wins on “Inkigayo” and “Show Champion.” It is almost 200 points ahead of the next song! Congratulations again to TWICE.
Staying at No. 2 is WINNER’s “EVERYDAY.” This song won on “M!Countdown” last week. Rebounding big time and moving up seven spots again to No. 3 this week is MOMOLAND’s “Bboom Bboom.”
We have two new songs in the top 10 this week! Moving up 14 spots to No. 6 is Lovelyz’s “That Day.” This is the title song of Lovelyz’s fourth mini-album “Healing.” Written by Sweetune, this dance song shows a vibrant side of the Lovelyz members. The lyrics compare the emotions felt after a breakup to a sweet but bitter dream on a spring night.
Indie ballad duo MeloMance scores their second top 10 hit “Just Friends,” moving up 14 spots to No. 9. Written by member Kim Min Suk, this is a heartfelt ballad about a man who falls in love with a friend but doesn’t have the courage to tell her. MeloMance surprised us with their hit song “Gift” last year, and now they follow up with their second top 10 hit, proving that they are not a one-hit wonder.
