5 Fashion Staples Korean Stars Wear For The Perfect Event-Ready Look
You’ve seen Korean stars in their music videos, dramas, TV shows, and magazines — but in between their busy schedules, they grace various fashion and brand events to show their support. Most of them are the brand ambassadors, which is why their sartorial choices are quite different since they have to wear clothes or accessories that highlight the brand. Here are some style staples that they wear to look their best and leave a lasting impression!
Tailored suits
A nicely cut, intricately or sophisticatedly designed suit is the most versatile choice that can be appropriate for day or night events. That is why stars prefer to wear full-on matching blazer and trousers for a sleek, professional look.
Queen of K-dramas Choi Ji Woo chose a suit in bold purple color to show off a stunning Amethyst necklace with diamond studs for the Goldendew jewelry showcase event.
The ever-handsome Jung Woo Sung is the perfect choice as the “Ambassador of Elegance” for the high end watch brand Longines. At the launch of a new collection, he wore a classic black suit which was made more interesting with a polka-dotted necktie.
We’re used to seeing iKON’s Bobby in hip streetwear, but he suited up for an event with Piaget. Even with his matching suit, he still carried it with his own brand of effortless style and swag.
Sulli is keeping herself busy with modeling and attending events these days, and her latest event appearance taken from her Instagram is for Boucheron Paris, where she wore a matching ensemble in a luxe, rich velvet texture and color for a fresh take on the modern suit.
Blazers with an edgy touch
Blazers have been an “It item” since 2017, and even way before. It’s the tried-and-true wardrobe staple that can be worn with practically anything.
Sulli kept her look simple yet interesting at the Longchamp event with an oversized gray blazer, white shirt, red tights, and heels. Her hoop earrings and necklace added a little something extra to her outfit.
In the same event as Sulli, BoA wore almost the same as she did but with a more edgy, street look. She paired her oversized shirt and blazer with thigh high boots and clutch. She looked stunning with her clear, dewy makeup and bold red lips.
WINNER is also a favorite guest for fashion events, but their most recent one was for an event with skin care brand, Kiehl’s. Their fashion looked cohesive with jeans, pastel-colored polos, and blazers. Member Jinwoo clinched his patterned suit with a slim belt.
Classic all-white and sleek black
Styling an outfit that’s purely black and white is not only the easiest, but also a fail-proof way to look chic and put together. It may be seen as quite a safe choice, but there’s a reason why it’s a classic. They’re understated yet timeless, which is why blacks and whites are the go-to colors for a simple and elegant ensemble.

All-black outfits are also the perfect backdrop for statement jewelry, just like Shin Min Ah’s jumpsuit, which she wore with turquoise and ocean colored necklace and earrings.
BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Jisoo attended Prada’s debut of their Cartoon collection for SS/2018, which was quite the star-studded event. Several K-stars were also present, but these two were some of the ones who stole the show. Jennie added a feminine touch to her look with a matching silk top and skirt.

Prints and patterns
While some may wear timeless monotones, these stars chose to level up their fashion game with fun prints and patterns that are definitely eye-catching.
Orla Kiely is known for designing iconic and fun bags, and Red Velvet’s Joy matched this occasion with a print-on-print outfit that highlighted Spring and her youthful look.
Fellow Red Velvet members Irene and Seulgi also stole the limelight with their Prada illustration and cartoon-inspired garments.
