BLACKPINK Reigns With "DDU-DU DDU-DU"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2018, July Week 2
BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” remains No. 1 for the third straight week! This song won another three music shows last week on “Inkigayo,” “Music Core,” and “M!Countdown.” It also has a strong showing on all other chart sources. Congratulations again to BLACKPINK!
Holding on to No. 2 this week is BTOB’s “Only One For Me.” While this song is still far ahead of the competition, it is losing ground to “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”
There are two new songs in the top 10 this week. Debuting at No. 3 is MOMOLAND’s new song “BAAM.” Just fresh off winning our First Half of 2018 No. 1 song with their long running hit “Bboom Bboom,” MOMOLAND recently dropped their fourth mini-album “Fun To The World.” Their title song “BAAM” is an electro house style dance hit written by Shinsadong Tiger, who also wrote their breakthrough hit “Bboom Bboom.” The lyrics use the song title BAAM to describe the feeling of suddenly finding someone attractive.
Moving up eight spots to No. 5 is “Dejavu” by NU’EST W. This is the title song from their second mini-album “WHO, YOU.” It is a Latin style pop dance song that describes the feeling of having already seen something.
