It’s been 24 hours since BTS dropped their “IDOL” music video and they’ve amassed an amazing number of views in just one day!

BTS released their repackage album “Love Yourself: Answer” and the music video for their title track “IDOL” at 6 p.m. KST on August 24. As of 6 p.m. KST on August 25, the video has garnered over 56.2 million views on YouTube! In order to know the exact record, fans will have to wait for an official count from YouTube.

The current official record for most views in 24 hours by a Korean group music video is 36.2 million views for BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU.” BTS’s “Fake Love” garnered 35.9 million views in its first 24 hours according to YouTube’s official view count. Although official results will need to be released by YouTube before anything can be definitively said about all-time YouTube rankings, it can’t be denied that what BTS has been doing with “IDOL” is truly impressive!
