Super Junior's Eunhyuk To Mentor As Performance Director In New Idol Debut Survival Show 'Under 19'

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk will become a mentor to aspiring idols on MBC’s new survival show “Under 19”!

“Under 19” is an audition survival program that will launch a global K-pop boy group in their teens. The best contestants in three categories — rap, vocal, and performance — will be chosen for the group. Celebrity mentors or “directors” will be guiding the contestants throughout the program in these categories.

Eunhyuk will be acting as performance director, joining Crush as vocal director, and Dynamic Duo as rap directors.

A source from the show expressed, “Super Junior has not only left their mark on K-pop history, but [Eunhyuk] is also a great icon as a performance idol. The producers decided on Super Junior’s main dancer Eunhyuk as director as one can say that that performance is the most important aspect for an idol.”

Many of the contestants are said to have named him as a senior in the idol industry they want to learn from. As Eunhyuk himself debuted when he was 19, he will be able to see eye-to-eye with these hopeful teens.

With 19 contestants in each of the three categories, a total of 57 teenagers will be vying for a spot in the final group. “Under 19” is set to premiere the first week of November.
