gugudan's Hyeyeon Announces Departure From Group

gugudan’s Hyeyeon will be leaving the group.

On October 25, Jellyfish Entertainment shared through a statement, “Hyeyeon will be ending her gugudan activities. The decision was made after frequent discussions about the future career path and activities in the entertainment industry for Hyeyeon, who has been dedicated to her studies since May while taking a break for health reasons.” 

They continued, “Although she will discontinuing her activities with gugudan, she still continues to be affiliated with [Jellyfish Entertainment].”

Jellyfish Entertainment concluded, “Please continue to love and support Hyeyeon and the remaining eight members.”

gugudan will now be an eight-member group following Hyeyeon’s withdrawal. The remaining members are Hana, Mimi, Nayoung, Haebin, Kim Sejeong, Soyee, Sally, and Mina.

The group will be making a comeback on November 6 with their third mini album.
