BLACKPINK Lands 2nd Entry On Billboard's Hot 100 With Dua Lipa Collab
BLACKPINK’s new collaboration with Dua Lipa has landed them on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the second time!
On October 29 local time, Billboard announced that BLACKPINK and Dua Lipa’s bilingual track “Kiss and Make Up” had debuted at No. 93 on its famous Hot 100 chart, a weekly ranking of the top 100 songs in the United States.
BLACKPINK first landed on Billboard’s Hot 100 earlier this year, when their hit song “DDU-DU DDU-DU” charted at No. 55—the highest ranking ever achieved by a K-pop girl group.
Billboard wrote of their latest achievement, “BLACKPINK is now the only Korean girl group to score multiple entries on the Hot 100. To date, the only other female acts to enter the chart have been fellow girl group Wonder Girls (who entered in 2009 with the English version of their Korean hit ‘Nobody’) and CL (who entered once in 2015 as the featured artist on PSY’s ‘Daddy‘ and once on her own in 2016 with her English single ‘Lifted‘). With two entries, BLACKPINK is bested only by PSY and BTS—both with four Hot 100 entries—among all Korean acts.”
Congratulations to BLACKPINK on another impressive feat!
