IU Maintains Top Spot With "BBIBBI"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2018, November Week 2
IU’s “BBIBBI” is our champion for the third straight week! This song won again on “Inkigayo” and “Music Core” last week and remains strong on all our chart sources. Despite minimal promotions, “BBIBBI” has created an even bigger gap with its closest challengers. Congratulations again to IU!
BTS’ “IDOL” also remains No. 2 this week. Even with all the new songs coming out, “IDOL” holds on to the second spot despite a big drop in points from last week.
Moving up five spots to No. 3 is the first top three hit on our chart by veteran ballad duo Vibe. Their song “Fall In Fall” is tailor made for this season and is one of the big reasons it is still climbing up and reaching its peak position after seven weeks on our chart.
We only have one new song in the top 10 this week. Moving up 13 spots to No. 8 is the first top 10 hit on our chart for MONSTA X. Their latest hit “Shoot Out” is the title song from Take 1 of their second studio album “ARE YOU THERE?” It is a hip hop track with a combination of rock, trap, and a future bass sound. It highlights the distinctive color of MONSTA X that combines softness with intensity. “Shoot Out” represents the world view of this album on topics of light and darkness, good and bad, life and death. “Shoot Out” won on “Music Bank,” “M Countdown,” and “Show Champion” last week.
