ITZY Maintains No. 1 With "DALLA DALLA"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2019, March Week 2
Rookie female group ITZY repeats as No. 1 this week with “DALLA DALLA.” This song has another strong showing on all our chart sources, winning again on “Inkigayo.” Overall, its score is miles ahead of all other songs. Congratulations again to ITZY!
Chungha’s former chart-topping hit “Gotta Go” is moving back up two spots to No. 2 this week. Completing an all-female top three this week is Hwasa’s “twit,” down one spot to No. 3. Despite the drop, “twit” won on “Music Core” last week.
We have two new songs in the top 10 this week.
Moving up 21 spots to No. 5 is N.Flying’s first-ever top 10 hit “Rooftop.” This is the song’s second stint on our chart. “Rooftop” was at No. 46 on our chart in January but now has made an amazing comeback. “Rooftop” is the second single from N.Flying’s “Fly High Project.” It is a pop rock song about a couple’s unforgettable memories as they look at the night sky from the rooftop. Debuted in 2015 with high expectations following the footsteps of their famed label mates FTISLAND and CNBLUE, N.Flying had a much rockier road to success as they had to wait nearly four years to have their first top 10 hit song.
Moving up 19 spots to No. 6 is another up-and-coming male group, MONSTA X. Their latest hit “Alligator” is the title song from Take.2 of their second album “WE ARE HERE.” It is a hip hop style dance song with future sound and has an addictive hook with the lyrics describing a strong attraction. “Alligator” won on “Music Bank,” “M Countdown,” and “Show Champion” last week.
