MAMAMOO Scores No. 1 With "gogobebe"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2019, March Week 5
MAMAMOO’s “gogobebe” moved up 10 spots to become the new No. 1 song this week!
“gogobebe” is the title track from MAMAMOO’s mini album “White Wind” and is a reggae style dance hit with a Latin guitar riff. The lyrics are about not clinging to the past and enjoying the moment. The chorus part of this song samples Kim Gun Mo’s 2001 classic hit “Zzanga.”
“gogobebe” topped the chart by a large margin after winning on “M Countdown” and also placing high on digital charts. In addition, member Hwasa’s solo hit “twit” is still in the top 10 at No. 6. Congratulations to MAMAMOO!
Moving up 12 spots to No. 2 is Park Bom’s solo hit “Spring,” which is the title song of her single album of the same name. “Spring” is her first solo song in nearly eight years. Written by Brave Brothers, “Spring” is a groovy R&B pop song that highlights Park Bom’s rhythmic vocals and also features Sandara Park.
Rounding out the top three is last week’s No. 1 song, N.Flying’s “Rooftop,” moving down two spots.
The third and final new song in the top 10 this week is Epik High’s “LOVEDRUNK,” moving up 12 spots to No. 4. This is the title track from Epik High’s mini album “Sleepless in _________,” their first album since leaving YG Entertainment. Crush is featured as the guest vocalist of this song, while IU is featured in the music video. “LOVEDRUNK” won on “Inkigayo” and “Music Bank” last week.
