TWICE has once again set an impressive record!
Previously, TWICE set the first week album sales record for K-pop girl groups with their 2017 album “twicetagram,” which recorded physical album sales of 129,691 copies during its first week of release. Three weeks ago, IZ*ONE broke the record with their recent album “HEART*IZ,” which recorded first week sales of 132,109 copies.
This record has now been broken again by BLACKPINK’s new album “KILL THIS LOVE” and TWICE’s new album “FANCY YOU,” which were both released physically on April 23.
According to Hanteo Chart, “KILL THIS LOVE” sold 146,094 copies during its first week, and “FANCY YOU” set the new record by selling 151,051 copies.
“FANCY YOU” is the first girl group album to surpass first week album sales of 150,000 as recorded by Hanteo Chart.
TWICE is currently promoting their title track “FANCY” and will kick off their world tour “TWICELIGHTS” on May 25 in Seoul.
