BTS Becomes 1st Korean Artist Named As Top Duo/Group At Billboard Music Awards

BTS has become the first Korean act to receive the Top Duo/Group award from the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs)!

The group was nominated for the award the first time at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, and they were up against Dan + Shay, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5, and Panic! At the Disco.

During the 2019 BBMAs ceremony on May 1 (local time) in Las Vegas, BTS was announced as the winner!

This was only possible because of the little things we share together, the BTS and ARMY power. We’re still the same boys from six years ago. This is BTS’s fourth ever trophy from the BBMAs! They have won the Top Social Artist award three times in a row, including this year’s trophy, which was given to them on the red carpet today. The only other Korean artist to have won an award from the BBMAs is PSY, who won the Top Streaming Song award in 2013 for “Gangnam Style.”
