BTS Takes No. 1 Spot With "Boy With Luv"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2019, May Week 1
As expected, BTS’s “Boy With Luv” moves up two spots to become our new No. 1 song! This song swept all music shows last week. It also topped all other chart sources on its way to a perfect score! Congratulations to BTS.
Last week’s No. 1 song, BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” is down one spot to No. 2 despite having a better chart score than last week. Rounding out the top three is another former No. 1 song, Taeyeon’s “Four Seasons,” moving back up two spots to No. 3.
There is only one new song in the top 10 this week. Moving up five spots to No. 8 is Jung Bum Joon’s “In Karaoke.” This song is one of the two title songs from his third studio album. The other title song, “Every Moment With You,” has been in the top 10 for the past three weeks. “In Karaoke” is an easy listening folk song about a man going to karaoke with a woman he likes and singing her favorite song in hopes to get her attention but she doesn’t understand.
