Chungha Guards No. 1 Spot With "Snapping"; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2019, July Week 4
Chungha’s “Snapping” repeats as No. 1 for the third straight week! This song picked up another music show win on “M Countdown.” Overall, “Snapping” scored even higher than last week and opened up a big gap with the rest of the competition. Congratulations again to Chungha!
After spending the last three weeks at No. 3 and 4, the duet between Jang Hye Jin and Yoon Min Soo “Drunk On Love” moved up to spots to No. 2. Meanwhile, Ben’s “Thank You For Goodbye” stays at No. 3.
Right below the top three are the three new songs in the top 10 this week! Moving up 14 spots to No. 4 is Heize’s latest hit “We don’t talk together.” This groovy R&B song is produced by BTS’ Suga and features Giriboy. The lyrics are about a former couple that has grown far apart from each other and have nothing to talk about together. Despite having no promotions, “We don’t talk together” won on “Inkigayo” last week.
EXO’s Baekhyun has his first solo top 10 hit song! After being part of EXO and its sub-unit CBX, and also collaborated with Suzy, Soyou, and Loco, Baekhyun finally released his first solo mini-album “City Lights.” The title song “UN Village” moved up 11 spots to No. 5 this week. This is an R&B love song about a couple looking at the moon from a hill in the UN Village and feeling the scene unfolding before their eyes. “UN Village” won on “Music Bank” and “Music Core” last week.
Moving up 18 spots to No. 6 is MeloMance’s “You&I.” This is a love song with a piano and string arrangement, with sweet lyrics that describe a man’s feelings to his loved one.
