Kang Daniel Sets K-Pop Solo Artist Record For First Week Album Sales
Kang Daniel has achieved another impressive record!
Earlier in the week, he broke the K-pop solo artist record for the most albums sold in one day.
As of July 31 at 12 p.m. KST, his debut album “Color On Me” sold 404,896 copies. Although the album is only on its third day since its release on July 29, it has already broken the record for a solo artist’s first week album sales as recorded by Hanteo Chart.
The previous record was recently set by EXO’s Baekhyun with his solo debut album “City Lights,” which recorded 380,769 copies in its first week.
Kang Daniel’s “Color On Me” also has the second highest first-week sales of all 2019 albums so far, with BTS’s “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 1.
Congratulations to Kang Daniel!
