Watch: Big Hit Announces Dates + Cities For Global Girl Group Audition With Source Music; Unveils Creative Teasers

Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music have officially announced the dates and locations for their upcoming girl group audition!

Last month, Big Hit Entertainment revealed that—together with its newly acquired label Source Music—it would be launching a “global audition” for a brand-new girl group.

On September 4, the agency confirmed its plans through an official statement, announcing, “In a joint venture with Source Music, we will be holding a ‘PLUS GLOBAL AUDITION’ to select members for a new girl group, whom we will be aiming to debut in 2021.”

As previously reported, Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Shi Hyuk and the company’s newly hired Chief Brand Officer Min Hee Jin (a former SM Entertainment creative director) will be working together on the upcoming girl group.

Big Hit Entertainment and Source Music’s “PLUS GLOBAL AUDITION” will begin in the United States, where auditions will be held in both Los Angeles and New York City on October 5, before heading to Australia and Asia. Auditions will be held in Perth and Singapore on October 12; Melbourne on October 13; Busan, Gwangju, Osaka, Sapporo, and Taipei on October 19; Seoul, Tokyo, and Kaohsiung on October 20; Hanoi and Bangkok on October 26; and Ho Chi Minh City on October 27.
