ITZY's "ICY" Returns To No. 1; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2019, September Week 3
ITZY’s “ICY” made a surprise return to the top spot this week, moving up three spots to reclaim No. 1 on our chart. Previously, “ICY” spent three consecutive weeks at the top spot, and now it has returned to No. 1 after two weeks. Congratulations again to ITZY!
Last week’s champion, X1’s “FLASH,” fell one spot to No. 2. This is the first time that rookie artists are holding the top two spots on Soompi’s chart since 2014 when WINNER’s “Empty” and Park Bo Ram’s “Beautiful” were No. 1 and 2, respectively.
Moving up 11 spots to No. 3 is MAMAMOO’s Wheein with her song “Good bye,” which becomes her first solo top 10 hit this week. Written by Jungkey, this ballad highlights Wheein’s strong vocals.
There is one more new song in the top 10 this week. Moving up 20 spots to No. 9 is Kassy’s “Story of night fall,” which is a sad autumn ballad about the emptiness and loneliness felt after breaking up.
