IZ*ONE Breaks Own Record Of Highest First Week Album Sales For K-Pop Girl Group
IZ*ONE adds yet another impressive record to their growing list of accomplishments!
Previously, IZ*ONE set a new K-pop girl group record for first week album sales with their album “BLOOM*IZ“! The group had already broken the record on February 17, the day of the album’s release. On February 21, IZ*ONE became the first K-pop girl group to reach 300,000 sales in first week sales. A week after its release, Hanteo Chart announced that the album sold a total of 356,313 copies.
On June 22, Hanteo Chart revealed that IZ*ONE’s latest album “Oneiric Diary” sold 389,334 copies in just the first week. The dates considered in this calculation are June 15 through 21.
Not only did IZ*ONE break their own record, but they also set a new record for girl group albums as a whole, proving their worldwide popularity. Shortly after the album’s release, it topped major music charts in Korea as well as iTunes K-pop albums charts in 31 regions including the U.S., Britain, Canada, and Mexico.
