BTS Makes History As 'Dynamite' Reclaims No. 1 Spot On Billboard's Hot 100

BTS’s “Dynamite” soars back to the top of the Hot 100!

Billboard has announced that “Dynamite” rises back to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart dated October 3. The Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres based on streaming, radio airplay, and sales data.

BTS previously became the first all-South Korean act to grab No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart when “Dynamite” debuted at the top, and it remained there for a second week before spending the two following weeks at No. 2. They’ve now extended their history-making No. 1 record to three weeks in total!

The return of “Dynamite” to the top of the Hot 100 is fueled by 14 million U.S. streams (up 11 percent) and 153,000 downloads sold (up 96 percent) in the week ending September 24, according to data from Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Billboard notes that 52 percent of the song’s overall sales from the week ending September 24 were of its four new “NightTime” remixes (Bedroom, Midnight, Retro, and Slow Jam), which came out on September 18.

Meanwhile, “Dynamite” spends a fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, and it also soars from No. 17 to No. 12 on the Streaming Songs chart. It’s risen from No. 47 to No. 42 on the Radio Songs chart, after the song garnered 20.8 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 8 percent) in the week ending September 27.

Billboard’s charts for this week will be shared on its website on September 29 local time.

BTS also recently announced that their new album “BE” is coming out on November 20.

Congratulations to BTS!
