Former X1 member Son Dong Pyo is getting ready to debut in a new boy group!

On January 19, Sports Seoul reported that Son Dong Pyo will be debuting with DSP Media’s first group since KARD, who debuted about four years ago. SpoTVNews reported that the group is planning for a March debut.

Later that day, a source from DSP Media stated to DongA.com, “Son Dong Pyo is debuting with a seven-member boy group.” While the exact schedule for their debut hasn’t yet been set, they’re filming a reality program with the goal of debuting in the first half of the year.

Son Dong Pyo competed in the 2019 Mnet competition show “Produce X 101” and went on to debut as a member of the show’s project group X1. The group disbanded in January 2020 following the program’s vote manipulation controversy, and Son Dong Pyo has been preparing to debut again while also holding an online fan meeting in November, sharing a photo book project, and more.
