BTS And BLACKPINK Score Nominations For 2021 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards
BTS and BLACKPINK are up for trophies at the 2021 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards!
On February 2, the nominees for this year’s ceremony were announced. BTS and BLACKPINK have both been nominated in the Favorite Music Group category, alongside Black Eyed Peas, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, And OneRepublic. BTS won the Favorite Music Group award at the 2020 event.
BTS’s “Dynamite” scores a nomination for Favorite Song, alongside The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Taylor Swift’s “Cardigan,” Drake’s “Toosie Slide,” Shawn Mendes’s “Wonder,” and Justin Bieber’s “Yummy.”
BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s “Ice Cream” has received a nod in the Favorite Music Collaboration category. Fellow nominees include “Be Kind” by Marshmello and Halsey, “Holy” by Justin Bieber featuring Chance the Rapper, “Lonely” by Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco, “Rain on Me” by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, and “Stuck with U” by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
In the running for the Favorite Global Music Star, BTS is nominated for Asia. Other nominees are Savannah Clarke (Australia), David Guetta (Europe), Master KG (Africa), Taylor Swift (North America), and Sebastián Yatra (Latin America). BTS won the Favorite Global Music Star trophy at the Kids’ Choice Awards in 2018.
The 2021 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will air on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, and the Nick Jr. channels. Voting for the awards is now open on KidsChoiceAwards.com and Twitter, as well as the Screens Up and Nick Play apps.
