KBS Drama "Imitation" Confirmed To Air Before "Dear.M"
KBS has announced the premiere date for its drama “Imitation.”
On March 15, a source from KBS confirmed with Hankook Ilbo, “‘Imitation’ will premiere on May 7. We’re still in discussion regarding the schedule for the Friday drama ‘Dear.M.'”
“Imitation” is based on a webtoon of the same name about the lives of idols in the entertainment industry. The cast includes Jung Ji So, known for her role in Oscar-winning film “Parasite”; ATEEZ’s Yunho, Seonghwa, Jongho, and San; SF9’s Chani and Hwiyoung; U-KISS’s Lee Jun Young; T-ara’s Jiyeon; former I.O.I and PRISTIN member Lim Nayoung; Yuri; Ahn Jung Hoon; Minseo; Boys’ Republic’s Suwoong; g.o.d’s Danny Ahn; and Shim Eun Jin.
The show had previously been scheduled to air after the drama “Dear.M,” which was slated for a February 26 premiere. However, the premiere of “Dear.M” has been postponed, with the network stating last month, “In order to thoroughly examine the recent issue surrounding one of the ‘Dear.M’ cast members and to ensure a high-quality release, we have decided to delay the premiere.” The delay came after star Park Hye Soo was accused of being a perpetrator of school violence, which both the actress and her agency have denied.
