Cube Responds To New Allegations Made Against (G)I-DLE's Soojin By Another Accuser
Cube Entertainment has denied further allegations of school violence against (G)I-DLE’s Soojin.
On March 17, an alleged middle school classmate of (G)I-DLE’s Soojin posted on an online community in order to back up claims made by previous accusers. In an attempt to provide proof of their identity, the writer of the post shared photos of their national ID card, middle school diploma, middle school yearbook, and more.
The individual wrote, “After seeing the multiple posts exposing [Soojin] written by these three people—the person who brought up the padded jacket on Twitter, the older sister of the juice-incident victim, and the person who revealed the DMs—and after seeing that there was also a lot of testimony backing them up in the comments, I thought for sure that the perpetrator would admit [to their wrongdoings] and apologize, and the situation would be resolved smoothly.”
They continued, “However, when I saw what Soojin had said at her face-to-face meeting with the juice-incident victim through news articles, I became angry, and after seeing the behavior of the perpetrator’s malicious fans, I mustered up the courage to come forward with my own testimony.”
“I will refute the claims made in Soojin’s statement one by one,” they wrote, referencing specific quotes from Soojin’s personal statement responding to the initial allegations. “The reason Soojin stood out during her school days was because she was a delinquent, and the reason there were bad rumors about her was also because she was the one in her group of delinquents who created the atmosphere of bullying among the female students.”
The writer of the post also claimed that the school had held an unofficial school violence meeting because of Soojin and her group of friends. They added, “Soojin and the other kids in her group were called to the teacher’s office over the school PA system, with their names called out one by one.”
Alleging that they had witnessed Soojin verbally attacking and cursing classmates for no reason, the writer continued, “Even I, who wasn’t in the same class as Soojin, was scared of her.”
“Soojin would curse at and disrespect someone for giving her a school meal one minute late,” they went on. “I didn’t even know her well, but she sprayed me with a water gun, and I had to go to class with my clothes wet.”
The writer also implored other classmates who had witnessed the alleged behavior to come forward and back up their claims, mentioning that many of them were likely hesitant to speak out due to fear of the response they would receive from malicious fans.
Later that day, Cube Entertainment responded with a firm denial, stating, “[The allegations] are the one-sided stories of those who claim to be victims, and they are not true.”
The agency went on to add, “We will take legal action against the reckless spreading of falsehoods, and we will soon make a formal statement.”
Soojin is currently on a temporary hiatus from all activities after facing multiple allegations of school violence and bullying last month, which both she and Cube Entertainment have denied.
