BLACKPINK's Rosé Becomes 1st Female K-Pop Soloist Ever To Enter UK's Official Singles Chart

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has just made K-pop history in the United Kingdom!

On March 19 local time, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts announced that Rosé’s solo debut track “On The Ground” had entered the Official Singles Chart at No. 43 for the week of March 19 to March 25.

With this historic chart debut, Rosé has become the first female K-pop soloist ever to land on the Official Singles Chart, which ranks the most popular songs in the United Kingdom. (The Official Charts are often regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts.)

BLACKPINK previously made history as the first K-pop girl group ever to enter the Official Singles Chart with “DDU-DU DDU-DU” back in 2018. In the years since, they have landed a number of other hits on the chart, including “Kill This Love,” “How You Like That,” “Ice Cream,” and “Lovesick Girls.”
