ATEEZ, NCT 127, TWICE, BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT, BLACKPINK, And ITZY Sweep Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart
Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week of December 25!
ATEEZ’s new repackage EP “ZERO : FEVER EPILOGUE” debuted at No. 1 on this week’s World Albums chart, in addition to becoming their second album ever to chart on the Billboard 200.
Both of ATEEZ’s double title tracks also landed spots on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart this week: “The Real” re-entered the chart at No. 6, while “Turbulence” debuted at No. 9. (“The Real” was counted as a re-entry because the original version of the song previously entered the chart back when it was released for Mnet’s “Kingdom” earlier this year.)
Meanwhile, NCT 127’s “Sticker” stayed strong at No. 2 in its 13th week on the World Albums chart. “Sticker” also became the only K-pop album of 2021 to spend 13 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 this week.
TWICE’s “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” claimed the No. 3 spot in its fifth week on the World Albums chart, in addition to becoming the first K-pop girl group album of 2021—and only the second overall—to chart for five weeks on the Billboard 200.
Once again, BTS landed a total of five albums in the top 15 of the World Albums chart. “Map of the Soul: 7” came in at No. 4, “BE” at No. 6, “BTS, The Best” at No. 10, “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 14, and “Love Yourself: Tear” at No. 15.
SEVENTEEN’s latest mini album “Attacca” re-entered the World Albums chart this week at No. 8, marking their sixth non-consecutive week on the chart.
TXT also charted two different albums in the top 15 this week. Their first Japanese EP “Chaotic Wonderland” took No. 9 in its second week on the World Albums chart, while their latest studio album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” held onto its spot at No. 12 in its 29th consecutive week, extending its own record for the longest-charting K-pop album of 2021.
Finally, BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” rose to No. 11 in its 63rd week on the chart, while ITZY’s “CRAZY IN LOVE” followed at No. 13 in its 12th week.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
