BTS Cancels Flight To United States After Grammy Awards Gets Postponed
The 2022 Grammy Awards has been postponed.
On January 5 (local time), the Recording Academy shared, “After careful consideration and analysis with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the artist community and our many partners, we have postponed the 64th Grammys.”
Initially, the 2022 Grammy Awards was scheduled to be held at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California on January 31. However, due to the ongoing spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, it was decided that the awards ceremony will be rescheduled. The Grammy Awards was also postponed last year, and the ceremony was held on March 14 instead of January 31.
BTS was nominated for the Grammys for the second consecutive year. However, due to the postponement of the event, BTS canceled their flight to the United States.
Big Hit Music stated, “We were preparing to attend the awards ceremony, but we stopped discussion after hearing the news of the postponement. However, the concert in Seoul that is scheduled in March will be held without a hitch.”
