TWICE's Nayeon Becomes 1st K-Pop Soloist Ever To Enter Top 10 Of Billboard 200 + "IM NAYEON" Debuts At No. 1 On Top Album Sales Chart
TWICE’s Nayeon has just made Billboard history!
On July 3 local time, Billboard officially announced that Nayeon’s solo debut mini album “IM NAYEON” had debuted at No. 7 on its famous Top 200 Albums charts, its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.
Nayeon is now the first K-pop soloist in history ever to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200, though TWICE has previously landed in the top 10 twice as a group (making them the first—and so far, only—K-pop girl group with two top 10 albums).
Additionally, “IM NAYEON” was the best-selling album of the week in the United States, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart dated July 9.
According to Luminate (formerly MRC Data), “IM NAYEON” earned a total of 57,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on June 30. The album’s total score consisted of 52,000 traditional album sales and 4,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 6.56 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week.
Congratulations to Nayeon on her historic achievement!
