TREASURE Confirms Plans For 10-Member Comeback As Bang Ye Dam And Mashiho Continue Hiatus
YG Entertainment has announced that TREASURE will continue their scheduled activities as a 10-member group until the end of this year.
On July 13, the agency released an official statement explaining that members Bang Ye Dam and Mashiho will not partake in the group’s upcoming summer comeback and tour. This follows the initial announcement made in May, in which they announced Bang Ye Dam’s and Mashiho’s temporary hiatus.
YG Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is YG Entertainment.
We would like to make a brief announcement to TREASURE MAKERS, who have shown nothing but great support for TREASURE, on the direction of the group’s future activities for this year.
TREASURE has been promoting as a 10-member group due to personal reasons and health of the individual members. It has been decided that the group will continue to do so for their comeback this summer and tour, which will continue until the end of the year.
Although we are facing internal difficulties and we understand how fans are upset, the remaining 10 members are putting in all their efforts in preparations for their upcoming activities so that fans won’t feel the absences of the other two members.
TREASURE, who will be celebrating their second debut anniversary this August, will soon be back with even better music as a more mature group.
We ask for TREASURE MAKERS’ great support and encouragement for TREASURE who will continue to promote as a 10-member group with Choi Hyun Suk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jae Hyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong Woo, and So Jung Hwan.
Thank you.
