aespa's "Girls" Becomes Best-Selling K-Pop Girl Group Album Of All Time

aespa has made history with their latest mini album!

On August 11, Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) officially announced that aespa’s second mini album “Girls” had sold 1,645,255 copies in July alone.

In less than a month, “Girls” has managed to set a new record for the highest sales achieved by any girl group album in the history of the chart, overtaking BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” (which held the previous record for best-selling girl group album of all time).  At present, “Girls” and “THE ALBUM” are the only two girl group albums in history to have surpassed 1 million sales.

aespa also previously became the fastest female K-pop artist in history to enter the top 3 of the Billboard 200 in the United States, with “Girls” becoming only the third album by a female K-pop act ever to chart in the top 3 (following BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” and TWICE’s “Formula of Love: O+T=<3.”
