Star Attendees At Seoul Fashion Week + 8 Korean Designer Looks Reimagined For K-Pop Idols
Seoul Fashion Week finally returned to live shows after what seemed like a long wait, making fashion and K-pop fans excited to see the latest trends the stars will be wearing this Spring/Summer 2023. All eyes are on Seoul as the home of Korea’s most talented designers, while stylish celebrities and local citizens are considered as the top fashion inspiration of style watchers from around the world. It is important to note that the styles found in Seoul Fashion Week, unlike its European counterparts, are usually more about modern street style and casual, wearable aesthetics than haute couture. Here’s a look at what Korean stars wore as front row guests to SFW’s best shows:
Classic black and gray combination
It’s officially fall in Korea right now and most of the stars have turned to more somber tones. Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Hwang In Yeop seemed like they were twinning in their textured gray and black sets.
Sleek dapper look
Beloved actors Kim Young Dae and Choi Woo Sik went for classic tailored suits while Park Hae Soo paired his sheer velvet shirt with a textured white coat.
All-black
SEVENTEEN’s Jun and DRIPPIN’s Cha Jun Ho were in head-to-toe black, accessorized with silverware and a touch of leather.
A touch of glam
(G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon turned heads when she arrived in a white mini dress with a fur jacket at the AMI Paris collection in Seoul. She’s the only one that wore pure white in a sea of blacks.
Long coats
Whether it’s in snakeskin, velvet, or organza, several stars opted to wear a long coat for a sophisticated look.

Graphic prints
Apink’s Namjoo and actress Jin Se Yeon were spotted wearing the bright signature print of Korean brand Greedilous, while actresses Wang Ji Hye and Shin Joo Ah wore stunning printed dresses from designer Doucan.
Coordinated fashion
T-ara fans were excited to see Qri and Eunjung on the blue carpet with both opting for a long dress and a cropped jacket, while VIVIZ coordinated their outfits in shades of black and white.
Stars on the runway
Some celebs supported their favorite Korean designers by walking on the runway and adding drama to the collections, including Bae Jung Nam, Han Hye Jin, and Cha Seung Woo for Songzio. Bada and Son Ho Young walked the runway for designer Kwak Hyun Joo.
Designs that would be amazing on K-pop stars
Some of the looks spotted on the runway would definitely look good on stage and music videos, so here are outfits that K-pop stars could definitely pull off:
Jennie would look great in the luxurious high teen plaid set from Kwak Hyun Joo, while the casual yet hip denim looks from Holy Number 7 would look amazing on Lisa. UL:KIN’s utilitarian set is reminiscent of one of BLACKPINK’s stage outfits for “Pink Venom,” and it would totally look good on Rosé and Jisoo!
With NewJeans’ youthful vibes and signature Y2K look, these styles from designers Not Enof Words, MMAM, and UL:KIN could be their next styles!
NCT/ (G)I-DLE
Graphiste Man. G is inspired by graffiti, punk culture, pop art, and the whole rock and roll lifestyle. I could imagine these outfits with the eclectic looks of NCT as well as the edgy, empowered vibe of (G)I-DLE!
Anonymouth presented a colorful and playful collection for menswear, which would look cool on ENHYPEN, matching the group’s fun personalities!
JIMINLEE reimagines menswear with deconstructed suits and unique styling. MONSTA X’s powerful energy could be the perfect match for these looks!
Cahiers is a brand that’s known for their soft, feminine looks. With Oh My Girl’s lovely and cute image, they could perfectly suit the brand’s fresh and light Spring/Summer collection!
LE SSERAFIM
Doucan is known for infusing intricate details and prints on their garments while seamlessly blending classic and contemporary styles. With LE SSERAFIM embodying a mix of a feminine and edgy vibe, they could definitely rock these looks!
IVE
Holy Number 7 presented a reinterpretation of urban and high fashion styles. These black and white outfits could be a great idea for IVE’s next concept which is reminiscent of the group’s mix of preppy, glam, and high teen looks!
