SEVENTEEN's Wonwoo And The8 Tease Upcoming Album, Share Their Favorite Lyrics, And More

SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo and The8 are gracing the digital cover of the May edition of Arena Homme Plus, and the two sat down to talk about their upcoming mini album and more!

This coming May marks the eight-year anniversary of SEVENTEEN’s debut, and the group will be releasing their 10th mini album titled “FML” ahead of their anniversary.

When asked about what fans can expect from the group’s performance, The8 relayed excitedly, “This is the largest scale [performance] since SEVENTEEN’s debut.” He added, “Even the members were exclaiming, ‘Wow!’ all throughout rehearsals.”

Wonwoo agreed, saying, “It’s really cool. It’s just really cool—there’s no other way to describe it.”

The two have participated in writing the lyrics for many of SEVENTEEN’s songs. When asked what their favorite lyrics are among the ones they wrote, Wonwoo chose the lines, “I have only one dream / There are so many dreams alive beside you,” from the song “I Wish,” stating that fans particularly enjoy the song.

The8 chose the line, “I don’t understand but I luv you,” which is also the title of one of their B-side tracks on their upcoming album.

Finally, the two SEVENTEEN members talked about how they want their group to be remembered in the future. Wonwoo said he wants them to be remembered as “a group that’s like a photo album. I want to become a SEVENTEEN that comes to mind in each person’s memories.”

The8 said, “When I look back on this later, I hope we can become people who grew up beside [our fans] and singers who always gave them strength during difficult and lonely times.”
