SEVENTEEN Breaks Record For Best-Selling Album In K-Pop History As "FML" Sells Over 4.5 Million Copies In 1 Week
Just a few days into its release, SEVENTEEN’s new mini album “FML” is already the best-selling Korean album of all time!
On April 24 at 6 p.m. KST, SEVENTEEN made their highly-anticipated comeback with their 10th mini album “FML”—and by the end of the day, “FML” had already become the first album in Hanteo history to sell over 3 million copies on its first day.
Hanteo Chart has now reported that “FML” went on to sell a record-breaking total of 4,550,214 copies in the first week of its release (April 24 to 30), making SEVENTEEN the only artist in K-pop history to surpass 4 million sales in one week.
Not only has SEVENTEEN broken the record for the highest first-week sales in Hanteo history, but “FML” has already set a new record for the highest total sales of any album to date. (Both records previously belonged to BTS‘s 2020 album “Map of the Soul: 7,” which sold over 3.3 million copies in its first week and has since gone on to sell a total of over 4.2 million copies.)
Congratulations to SEVENTEEN on their historic achievement!
