FIFTY FIFTY Becomes 3rd K-Pop Group To Reach Top 5 Of Billboard's Global 200 As "Cupid" Climbs To Another New Peak
FIFTY FIFTY has once again risen to new peaks on Billboard’s Global charts!
On May 8, Billboard announced the top 10 of this week’s Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated May 13), which both show FIFTY FIFTY’s viral hit “Cupid” climbing to new peaks.
Both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts began in September 2020 and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world. While the Global 200 includes data from around the world, the Global Excl. U.S. chart considers data from territories excluding the United States.
Last week, “Cupid” rose to a new peak at No. 8 on both Global charts. This week, the song rose from No. 8 to No. 6 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 8 to No. 5 on the Global 200, marking FIFTY FIFTY’s first top five entry on the latter chart. Over the past week, “Cupid” saw a 38 percent increase to 77.7 million streams and a 54 percent jump to 4,000 sold globally.
This latest achievement also makes FIFTY FIFTY only the third K-pop group to reach the top five of the Global 200 after BTS and BLACKPINK.
Last week, FIFTY FIFTY made history on the UK Official Singles Chart after “Cupid” rose to No. 9, becoming the first K-pop girl group song to reach the top 10.
Congratulations to FIFTY FIFTY!
