BIGHIT MUSIC Clarifies That BTS's Jungkook Is Properly Credited For "Seven (feat. Latto)" MVs
BIGHIT MUSIC has confirmed that BTS’s Jungkook is properly credited for both the official music video and performance music video for “Seven (feat. Latto).”
On July 16, JTBC News reported that fans expressed concern over Jungkook potentially not being properly credited as the artist of the music videos for his new solo single “Seven (feat. Latto),” alleging that 0 points were listed under Jungkook’s ranking breakdown for YouTube—which is one of the categories counted toward Billboard’s Hot 100 chart—and that the music videos were credited under HYBE instead of Jungkook, resulting in issues with the points count for the YouTube category.
In response, BIGHIT MUSIC clarified to JTBC News, “The artist name for the ‘Seven’ music video as well as the performance video is correctly registered as Jungkook in the YouTube system.” They added, “There are no issues with the YouTube data count as well.”
Earlier on July 14, Jungkook released his official solo debut single “Seven” featuring Latto, which immediately shot to the top of iTunes charts in numerous countries all over the world—and also achieved an impressive 24-hour view count with its music video starring Han So Hee.
