Chuu Wins Lawsuit Against BlockBerryCreative

Former LOONA member Chuu has won the lawsuit against her former agency.

On August 17, the 12th division of the Seoul Northern District Court Civil Settlement ruled in favor of the plaintiff Chuu in a lawsuit against BlockBerryCreative.

Previously in December 2022, Chuu filed a lawsuit against her former agency BlockBerryCreative to confirm the invalidity of her exclusive contract on grounds such as unfair profit settlement and collapse of trust. The court initially referred the case to mediation in March 2023, but the two parties failed to reach an agreement.

In November of last year, BlockBerryCreative announced Chuu’s removal from LOONA, citing “violent language and misuse of power” toward a staff member as their reason. Chuu has since spoken out to personally deny the agency’s claims. After signing an exclusive contract with her new agency ATRP in April of this year, Chuu has continued to actively engage in various promotional activities.
