Watch: Jeon Yeo Been Travels Back To 1998 And Meets Different Version Of Her Boyfriend Ahn Hyo Seop In “A Time Called You”

Netflix’s upcoming series “A Time Called You” has revealed its main poster and a new teaser!

Based on the hit Taiwanese drama “Some Day or One Day,” “A Time Called You” is a time-slip romance starring Jeon Yeo Been as Jun Hee, a woman who desperately misses her boyfriend after he passes away. In the midst of her grief, she winds up miraculously traveling back in time to 1998, where she wakes up as the high school student Min Ju and meets fellow student Si Heon (Ahn Hyo Seop), who looks exactly like her late boyfriend. Completing the love triangle is In Gyu (Kang Hoon), who has harbored a one-sided love for Min Ju for a long time.

The main poster showcases the three characters and their different emotions between the years 2023 and 1998. The tagline “One past. One chance to save you” adds an intriguing layer to the story, hinting at a narrative that goes beyond romance. The poster’s design, resembling cassette tape covers from the 1998 era, also evokes a sense of nostalgia.

In the accompanying teaser, Jun Hee and her boyfriend Yeon Jun (Ahn Hyo Seop)’s moments of happiness come to a sudden end after Yeon Jun is involved in a fatal accident that takes his life. Following the devastating loss, Jun Hee spends her days in despair. However, a twist unfolds when Jun Hee receives a package containing a mysterious cassette. Upon playing the cassette, she’s unexpectedly transported back to the year 1998.

After waking up as the high school student Min Ju, she encounters Si Heon, a fellow student who bears an uncanny resemblance to Yeon Jun. The entanglement of emotions intensifies as Si Heon finds himself drawn to the transformed Min Ju, even though he knows his best friend In Gyu (Kang Hoon) has carried unrequited feelings for Min Ju for a long time.

Director Kim Jin Won shared that he focused on creating smooth transitions between the different time periods to enable viewers to naturally follow the characters’ emotional journeys. He added, “The actors delivered different performances, transcending various time periods and emotions, for each character yet smoothly connected the overall storyline, which contributed to the series being a well-made drama.”

“A Time Called You” will be released on September 8.
