NewJeans' "Super Shy" Climbs Back Up UK's Official Singles Chart In Its 7th Week
Nearly two months after its release, NewJeans’ “Super Shy” is climbing back up the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart!
Last month, NewJeans made history as the fastest K-pop girl group ever to land more than one song on the Official Singles Chart (widely regarded as the U.K. equivalent of Billboard’s Hot 100 in the United States) when “Super Shy” debuted at No. 59.
Since then, “Super Shy” has consistently remained in the top 80 of the chart—and in its seventh consecutive week on the Official Singles Chart, it rose five spots to No. 72 (for the week of August 24 to 30).
“Super Shy” is only the fifth K-pop girl group song ever to spend seven weeks on the Official Singles Chart, following BLACKPINK and Dua Lipa’s “Kiss and Make Up,” BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s “Ice Cream,” BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom,” and FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid.”
Congratulations to NewJeans!
