Exclusive Interview: TWICE’s Mina Dishes On Her Experience With Skincare And Shares Tips With Fans

Mina of TWICE has kept incredibly busy again this year, balancing TWICE’s group activities, MISAMO’s unit debut in Japan, and her role as the global ambassador of skincare brand SK-II.

Last month, Mina visited the SK-II SECRET KEY HOUSE exhibition in Japan, a multi-sensorial pop-up revealing SK-II’s best secrets. Following her visit, Soompi spoke to Mina about her experience and about her personal skincare routines.

On her visit at the SK-II SECRET KEY HOUSE, Mina described it as an “incredible and immersive experience.” She explained that it was fascinating to discover secrets about PITERA™, and through the new scientific discovery on the cause behind seasonal skin issues that was presented at the SK-II SECRET KEY HOUSE, she was able to understand how her skin reacts to the different seasons.

About how the condition of her skin differs depending on the season, Mina shared, “While my skin definitely experiences more dryness during winter, I’ve also noticed that my skin can be dry during summer as well, especially when I spend a lot of time indoors in air conditioning.” She added, “I pay more attention to keeping my skin hydrated with moisturizers and face masks [during summer and winter].”

When asked what kind of daily makeup she applies when not working and going out casually, Mina responded that she gravitates toward a neat and simple style. “Since I started using SK-II, thanks to PITERA™, my skin has transformed to crystal clear skin and is now the focal point of my look. I only need to add light touches to my features.” On a day-to-day basis, she usually carries lip balm in her bag along with the SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence. “I experience dryness with my skin so I like to give my skin a refreshing hydration boost during the day, and it keeps my skin dewy even through make-up.”
