Kim So Hye's First Fixed Match Begins As Lee Sang Yeob Watches In Worry In "My Lovely Boxer"
KBS 2TV’s “My Lovely Boxer” has shared a sneak peek of its upcoming fifth episode!
Based on the award-winning novel of the same name, “My Lovely Boxer” is a new drama about a genius boxer named Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So Hye) and a cold-blooded sports agent named Kim Tae Young (Lee Sang Yeob), who doesn’t feel guilty about match fixing or resorting to any means necessary for the success of his athletes.
Spoilers
In the previous episode, Lee Kwon Sook was overwhelmed by stress ahead of her comeback match against Jo Ah Ra (Do Eun Ha). Kim Tae Young, who had insight into her superstitions through a documentary, provided silent support by holding her hand, mirroring Lee Cheol Yong’s (Kim Hyung Mook) gesture. Encouraged by Kim Tae Young’s support, despite her fear, Lee Kwon Sook exclaimed that she would win as she headed to the ring.
In the upcoming episode, the first fixed match that could potentially change the lives of both Kim Tae Young and Lee Kwon Sook unfolds. Lee Kwon Sook, returning to the ring after a three-year hiatus, steps into the spotlight as she attempts to defeat the boxing world’s “troublemaker,” Jo Ah Ra.
As Lee Kwon Sook casts an anxious and restless gaze upon her opponent, Jo Ah Ra maintains a fierce and calculating expression, carefully looking for the right time to attack. Exuding confidence, Jo Ah Ra maneuvers to corner Lee Kwon Sook, while Lee Kwon Sook guards herself against Jo Ah Ra’s punches, waiting for the perfect opening.
Kim Tae Young observes Lee Kwon Sook from beneath the ring with a concerned expression, while match-fixer Kim Oh Bok (Park Ji Hwan) wears a look of astonishment as if he has witnessed an unbelievable sight, piquing curiosity about the result of the match.
The production team shared, “In the fifth episode, Lee Kwon Sook and Kim Tae Young’s first fixed match will be unveiled. Kim So Hye and Do Eun Ha worked hard for months in high-intensity boxing training for this scene. We kindly request your anticipation and interest as we aim to deliver a tension-packed, edge-of-your-seat experience akin to watching a real boxing match.”
The next episode of “My Lovely Boxer” will air on September 4 at 9:45 p.m. KST.
