BLACKPINK's Lisa Sets Guinness World Record With "MONEY"

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has set a new Guinness World Record with her smash hit “MONEY”!

On September 27 local time, Guinness World Records announced that they had officially awarded Lisa a world record for “the first K-pop track by a solo artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify.”

“MONEY”—a B-side off Lisa’s solo debut single album “LALISA”—was first released on September 10, 2021, and it took the song just over two years to hit the 1 billion mark on Spotify.

Meanwhile, in addition to BLACKPINK’s numerous Guinness World Records as a group, Lisa already held a number of world records as a solo artist, including “first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Video Music Awards” and “most followers on Instagram for a K-pop artist.”
